Mountain Harmony
The Mountain Harmony Chorus is an organisation for women, based in the Mold, North Wales area, who sing four-part a cappella harmony, Barbershop style, and aspire to musical excellence and personal growth through education, performance, competition and friendship. Our 45+ chorus is comprised of women from all walks of life.
With a varied and interesting musical repertoire, we perform regularly at concerts and musical festivals, support charity fundraising initiatives, and have entertained an assortment of audiences throughout the region.

In the competition arena, Mountain Harmony enjoyed two exciting and fruitful past years. We are the 2007 first prize section winners at the Chester, Wirral and Southport Music Festivals, and during an enjoyable April 2006 visit to County Down in Northern Ireland, we were proud to be awarded the coveted Bangor International Choral Festival Prize.
In July 2007 Mountain Harmony were extremely honoured and privileged to be invited to attend the 61st Llangollen International Eisteddfod. This was our second successive appearance at this world - renowned festival of music, song and dance, and the contest included Choirs from more than fifty countries.

As members of the British Ladies Organisation LABBS, our performance in the National Championship Final Contest, held in October at Bournemouth, earned us the Association's prestigious Millenium Award for the most improved Chorus, and our MD, Derek Hollis was presented with the Cheshire Chord Trophy as the Musical Director effecting the most significant improvement in a LABBS Chorus in 2007.
